Dave Montguire – Director of Construction

Dave has been with James Craig Builders since 2000 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in construction management. Dave is also a talented carpenter, and specializes in assessing placement of the foundation, site-work preparation and excavation.

Dave's goal is to keep you informed of your home’s progress throughout construction, and he is extremely effective at offering solutions to customers’ concerns and resolving any issues that may arise. Our customers love Dave – usually they ask if Dave can stick around and help out around their new house for a while.

Troy Heil – Builder

Troy has more than 10 years of new home building experience. Prior to joining the James Craig team, he managed the construction of operations of a top-25 builder and also owned and operated a painting and staining company for 15 years.

Troy stays on top of everything and is very effective at follow up and follow through. His goal is to make your building experience a positive one by keeping you apprised of your home’s status from start to finish. Just ask any of our customers who have worked with Troy…he’s easy to work with and always prompt in returning a call.

Tyler Rakowski – Project Manager

Tyler Rakowski Project ManagerAfter graduating from Waukesha County Technical College with a degree in Architectural Drafting, Tyler began his official career at James Craig Builders. Tyler has been working in and learning the business since he was 15 years old and is now taking charge on new home projects including overseeing any remodeling and lower level finishing projects that James Craig takes on. Learning from the ground up has given him a great opportunity to observe every aspect of the business; from digging the foundation to putting the final touches on your new home. Tyler loves seeing a home transition from rough framing to the finishing stage. He’s looking forward to helping customers create the home of their dreams and making sure they love their James Craig Home.

Vivian Pingel – Operations Specialist

Vivian PingelVivian is an important part of our office team. She ensures that all of your paperwork is handled efficiently, and is the person responsible for processing your selections, change orders and statements. It’s not always an easy job managing changes from customer to builder and supplier, and then back again, but Vivian’s attention to detail makes our construction operation run smoothly.



Allison Corrao – Marketing Coordinator

Allison Rakowski Marketing CoordinatorAllison is the Marketing Coordinator at James Craig Builders. After graduating with degrees in Journalism and Marketing at UW-Whitewater, Allison joined the team here with the aspirations of working with our customers in a unique way. By making sure the sales associates have all the appropriate materials, making sure homes are photographed and documented, Allison has a lot of tasks behind the scenes. Hosting special events for our customers and staying in contact after homes are closed are two of her favorite aspects of her job. Expect to see Allison at your lot walk, rough construction walk through, closing and after!


Bill Tatman, CPA – Vice President of Finance

Bill TatmanBill's professional contribution to your project is a steady persistence in the auditing of all contract and change order dollars. Bill is our expert link to the Title Company for all projects. Your closing statement is well reviewed and very easy to comprehend, and there won’t be any surprises because you’ll be kept informed about the cost of your new home throughout construction.



Brenda Kugler – Interior Designer

Brenda KuglerBrenda, our on staff design consultant, has over 16 years of experience. As her experience grew, she came to realize that she loves working hand in hand with customers to make sure their home becomes a representation of who they are. Every customer has their own personality and style and Brenda always makes sure those unique characteristics show through in their design process. As someone who has worked in the design field Brenda loves the process, from Granite counters to paint colors, lighting and tile, she will help our customers find exactly what they’re looking for. After Graduating from Mount Mary in 1995; she won an interior design award in 2000.
